Warning: If you haven't watched Heroes before, this article contains spoilers. Without any warning, NBC snuck in a little trailer for "Heroes: Reborn" during the Winter Olympics. The internet ignited and geeks rejoiced. I have always ranked Heroes in the top 5 TV shows of all time, in my opinion, right next to Lost. I loved the way Heroes ended, but didn't like the fact that it got cancelled. With Claire revealing herself and the existence of people with abilities to the world, the next season could have been something magical. But we didn't get to see what happened, and NBC pulled the plug on our beloved Heroes. February 2010 would be the last time we saw Heroes on the air, after the episode "Brave New World". Now, 4 years later, we look forward to Heroes: Reborn, coming in 2015.
Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment said, "The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening....Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept.
'Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in."
Some of the original cast is already getting excited about it. Masi Oka, who played Hiro in the original series tweeted, "Was watching the Olympics and saw the #HeroesReborn tailer. Time to dust off the sword?" I'm hoping to see some of the original actors in the show, especially Peter and Sylar, their dynamic and storylines were always the most interesting to me. And HRG. I could do without Claire, unless she stops all the whining, that got old. Until 2015, all we have is this little teaser trailer, but I'm sure more new material will come out as time goes by.
