Dave Matthews Band - Europe 2009 (Vinyl Release). 15 October 2018.

Well, this is interesting. It looks like there is going to be a limited edition vinyl release of the Europe 2009 release. It was originally seen on a German webstore, but a friend of mine mentioned to me that it was available on German I ordered it from there and found the price to be $36.97 for the item, $41.70 for shipping, yielded a total of $78.67. After I ordered it, I found it on, another webstore that looks like they also ship to the US, at a price of $73.68 with free shipping. Interesting pricing - no matter which way you go it looks like you'll pay around $70 USD total. Which, for a 5 LP set, is pretty reasonable.  The release date is listed as 11/23/2018, and Amazon looks to be shipping in early December.

Looking at the cover art, I found the lower section said this was specifically "Mastered For Vinyl", so I'll be interested to see the quality of this release.  It is listed as being released by, but their website doesn't have any information about the release yet.

Also, the lower left hand corner of the album art looks to have numbering, so this appears to be a limited release of only 2000 pieces.  As the item looks very limited, I made sure to get an order in.  It's not known at this time if it will be made available on a wider scale, but as of now I know for sure those two stores are selling it.

Preview: DMB Live Trax 41 - Dave & Tim (3/13/99)

The 41st release in the DMB Live Trax series is set to be a Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds show. This show took place at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley, CA on 3/13/1999. You may recall 3/3/99 was released as a DMBLive. Many of the songs on that release are also on this release. That being said, many songs on this release weren’t on that release. So I’m looking forward to Beauty of Wynona, Help Myself and Granny. It’s a solid show from to to bottom, so I’ll be buying this one. Since Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are touring this year, it made sense that we would see another Dave and Tim release. This should be announced soon and we'll have more information about it when the official announcement posts. I'm looking forward to see what quality download options we are given!

Dave Matthews Band - Crash (20th Anniversary Vinyl). 10 May 2016.

It's official. Crash is coming to vinyl in 2016.  Two listings popped up today on and with a release date set for July 15th, 2016. I do want to advise people to wait to pull the trigger on the preorder until the official DMB store and the Warehouse store put up their pre-orders to see if there are any special bonuses they get. Also, Warehouse members get a discount from their store, so the price may be cheaper. No reason to rush out and pre-order a copy immediately, there are still copies of Under The Table And Dreaming for sale so I'm sure this won't sell out, either.

The listings at the pre-order links I posted above  didn't have much info, but our friend Dobyblue shared a little more insight into the release. He says the release "was cut by Chris Bellman directly from the original analogue stereo master tape, pressed at MPO." He also says it's an all analog chain and there will be three tracks per side. So for those wondering, yes, the #41>Say Goodbye segue will be preserved on one side. At this time, they haven't announced what the bonus features will be. We posted an unreleased songs article a few years ago which gives some possibilities for what the bonus tracks could be. Deed Is Done, Little Thing, #36, Don’t Burn The Pig (Pre-1998 Version) and True Reflections were recorded in the studio but not released. Also, according to this article, Get In Line and Help Myself were recorded during the Crash sessions. So it's possible we could see any of those as bonus features.

Going off the 3 tracks per side format, this is what the track listing could look like:

Side A
1. So Much To Say
2. Two Step
3. Crash Into Me

Side B
1. Too Much
2. #41
3. Say Goodbye

Side C
1. Drive In, Drive Out
2. Let You Down
3. Lie In Our Graves

Side D
1. Cry Freedom
2. Tripping Billies
3. Proudest Monkey

"Better Call Saul" Filming Locations. 19 March 2016.

A few years ago I visited Albuquerque and documents a bunch of Breaking Bad filming locations. This weekend, I came back and decided to visit a bunch of Better Call Saul filming locations. I want to thank Marc Valdez, who did a great job categorizing, sorting and documenting all these locations like he did with the Breaking Bad website. His blog is an excellent source for finding these locations!

Record Store Day 2016 - Leaked List. 2 February 2016.

It's that time of year again and we are getting close to Record Store Day 2016! Via a post of Vinyl Collective, there appears to be a leaked list of titles.

This year's Record Store Day is set to take place Saturday April 16th, 2016.

Keep in mind, this is a leaked list, so it hasn't been verified, I'm just sharing it.  There may be titles added, and there may be some titles that aren't going to be released that are on the list.  But so far, it does look like an interesting list.  I see a handful of things on there, but I'm a little bummed to not see a Dave Matthews Band release on there.  Hopefully one will be added later!

Dave Matthews Band to release Live Trax 5 for RSDBF 2015 - 17 October 2015.

Note:  This photo is concept art I made last year and not official art.

Last year, I made this post for what I'd like to see released this year by DMB in the vinyl world. I'm surprised to see that one of my picks is actually making the cut. Though I had hoped LT5 would come for Record Store Day, I'm glad it's coming at all. Wax Poetic, which is one of the most reliable websites for Record Store Day rumors and information, has posted this tidbit of information today.

Dave Matthews Band. Live Trax Volume 5 (180g 4LP box set on Pink Vinyl limited to 2000 copies. 8/23/95 Meadow Brook Music Festival in Rochester Hills, MI)

The official information for Live Trax 5 says, " 8.23.1995 at the Meadow Brook Music Festival, Rochester Hills, MI. This show took place during the tour for Under the Table and Dreaming, DMB’s first release on RCA Records. Dave Matthews Band was just beginning to move from playing smaller clubs and theatres to playing larger amphitheater settings. This release is another crew favorite. David Ryan Harris, guitarist for Dionne Farris’ band, performed with DMB during six songs of the concert. Rhyme and Reason is a notable song featuring David Ryan Harris harmonizing on guitar with the violin and saxophone parts of the song. A twelve minute Exodus, played rarely in DMB history, was also a highlight of this show. Jimi Thing is also exceptional at fifteen minutes. The encore begins with a soulful solo performance of Typical Situation by Dave Matthews and then explodes into All Along the Watchtower also featuring David Ryan Harris."
